# We & They

Pronoun discrimination: we, they, he, she

A sentence such as “We are playing with cars” is read aloud, and the learner taps the one of two pictures that matches it. Phase 2 adds he and she.

## When

-   Teaching receptive pronouns once the learner matches pictures and follows short sentences.
-   Moving from we/they to all four pronouns (Phase 2).

## Why

-   Both pictures show the same activity, so only the pronoun tells them apart.
-   Trials are balanced and never repeat the same side or pronoun more than twice in a row.
-   Built-in error correction: a wrong tap says “Try again,” and the learner must choose correctly to move on.

## How

1.  Read the **Say this to your learner** script on the start screen.
2.  Pick **Trials per block** (6, 10, 12, or 20). Leave **Voice reads sentences aloud** on unless you’ll read them yourself.
3.  Turn on **Phase 2** to mix in he and she. Use **🔊 Test sound** first on a new device.
4.  Tap **▶ Start the game**. The speaker button repeats the sentence.
5.  At the end of a block, results by pronoun appear. Choose **Play another round** to keep going. To stop early, tap **✕**, then **End & see data**.

**Saved to the dashboard:** The first touch on every trial. Corrections after an error aren’t scored. The graph marks each change between Phase 1 and Phase 2.
