# Flashcards

Naming pictures (tacts) in discrete trials

50 everyday nouns, each with 3 different photos (150 cards), shuffled every session. The adult delivers the instruction and scores each card.

## When

-   Teaching or probing labels for common objects, places, and people.
-   Table-time drills where you present, prompt, and score quickly.
-   Checking generalization across different pictures of the same thing.

## Why

-   Three photos per word build generalization instead of one memorized picture.
-   One-tap scoring keeps your eyes on the learner, not on paper.
-   An unfinished deck resumes where you left off next time.

## How

1.  Select the learner and open **Flashcards**. Tap **Start session**, or **Practice as a guest** to run without saving.
2.  Show the card and give your instruction (for example, “What is it?”). The app doesn’t speak.
3.  Score the first response: **Correct** (right arrow or swipe right) or **Not yet** (left arrow or swipe left).
4.  Made a mistake? Tap **Undo** (⌘Z or Ctrl+Z). **Reveal target** shows the answer label for you.
5.  After the last card, choose **Reshuffle & begin again** or **View progress**.

**Saved to the dashboard:** Every scored card. The dashboard shows accuracy per session, targets that need work, and a table of every target.
